"But Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God." Luke 18:16 ESV

Why SFC Kids?

Our SFC Kids ministry offers children a welcoming place to have fun, learn about Jesus, and grow in their relationship with Him. We’re passionate about inspiring the next generation to follow Christ and equipping them to make a difference in the world.

SFC Kids Sunday Worship

On Sunday, our Junior and Senior Sunday School are available during the sermon for nursery and primary school levels. During these lessons, children discover biblical truth and learn how to apply it to their daily lives. Children can also participate in “Sing Sunday”, which is a time to learn scripture-based songs. Throughout the year, there are opportunities to sing these songs in church services or out in the community.

Events for our SFC Kids

Every year, SFC kids can enjoy a variety of fun events and outings, including:

  • Family picnics
  • Back to School Bash
  • Christmas cookie decorating
  • And much more!

Safety for our SFC Kids

Here at SFC, we want every child to grow and be cared for in a safe, welcoming environment. With this, all our volunteers have completed PVG checks and safeguarding training. For further information on our guidelines, visit our Safeguarding page.

Planning your Visit

New to Church?

stirling

Well, welcome! If you are new to church, new to Stirling, or thinking about coming to Stirling Free Church for the first time, we are glad you are here.

We know that visiting a church for the first time can feel like a big step. You might not know what to expect, what to wear, where to go, or whether you will fit in. Please be assured that you do not need to have everything worked out before you come.

Stirling Free Church is a gospel-centred, Bible-believing church where people of different ages, backgrounds and nationalities meet together to worship and serve God.

When and Where We Meet

Our Sunday morning service is at:

Time: 10:30am
Venue: Cambusbarron Community Centre

No need to book or let us know in advance if you want to attend. Just come along. Someone will be there to welcome you and help you find your way in!

What Happens in a Service?

Our Sunday service is a time to worship God together, hear from the Bible, pray, and encourage one another.

A normal service will usually include singing, Bible readings, prayer and a sermon where a passage from the Bible is explained and applied to everyday life.

You will not be put on the spot or asked to do anything you are uncomfortable with. You are welcome simply to come, listen and take things at your own pace.

What Should I Wear?

There is no dress code. Some people dress smartly, others come more casually. Please come in whatever you feel comfortable wearing.

Do I Need to Know Anything Before I Come?

Don't worry, you do not need to know the songs, understand church traditions, or have been to a service before.

If anything is unfamiliar, that is completely fine. We are glad to welcome people who are exploring Christianity, returning to church, or simply curious about faith.

Our services usually last no longer than 1 hour with refreshments afterwards.

Children and Young People

Children and young people are very welcome at Stirling Free Church.

During term time, Crèche, Sunday School and Bible Class are available for those who would like to attend. If you are visiting with children, someone will be happy to explain what is available and where to go.

Students, Visitors and Newcomers

Stirling is home to people from many places, including students and international visitors. We are glad to welcome people from different nations, backgrounds and stages of life.

Whether you are in Stirling for a short time or looking for a church family, we would love to meet you.

After the Service

After the service, there is usually tea/coffee and time to chat and get to know people. Please do stay if you can.

We know it can feel daunting to walk into a new place, so our hope is that you will find a warm welcome and a friendly church family.

Come and Join Us

Whether you are already a Christian, exploring faith, or just wondering what church is like, you are welcome at Stirling Free Church.

Come and join us-you will be made welcome!
