We are a gospel-centred, Bible-believing church in Stirling, where people of different ages, backgrounds and nationalities meet together to worship and serve God.

We are a new and growing congregation of the Free Church of Scotland. Our vision is simple: to worship God together and to spread the good news of Jesus Christ.

A Bible Church

At Stirling Free Church, the Bible is at the heart of our worship, teaching and life together.

In our services, we sing the truths of the Bible, hear God’s Word read, explained and applied, and pray for God’s promises to be fulfilled in our lives, our church and our community.

Our teaching stands within the mainstream Christian faith, and a fuller summary of what we believe can be found in the Westminster Confession of Faith.

A Gospel Church

The gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ. It tells us who God is, what he has done for us, and how we can know him through Jesus.

We want to share and live out this good news in Stirling. Each Sunday, you can expect to hear the message of Jesus explained clearly from the Bible and applied to everyday life.

A Mission Church

The message of Jesus is for everyone. We want people in Stirling, the surrounding area, and the many international students connected with Stirling University to hear and respond to the gospel.

We also support gospel work beyond our own city, including missionaries serving in different parts of the world.

A Contemporary Church

We believe the message of the Bible is timeless and deeply relevant for life today.

As a church, we want to share the good news of Jesus clearly, warmly and faithfully with each generation, helping people see how the gospel speaks with hope, truth and power into real life.

A Connected Church

Stirling Free Church is part of the Free Church of Scotland.

This means we are connected with other congregations across Scotland and beyond. We share a common faith and vision, receive support, and remain accountable to one another as part of the wider church.

New to Church?

stirling

If you are new to church, new to Stirling, or thinking about coming to Stirling Free Church for the first time, you are very welcome.

We know that visiting a church for the first time can feel like a big step. You might not know what to expect, what to wear, where to go, or whether you will fit in. Please be assured that you do not need to have everything worked out before you come.

Stirling Free Church is a gospel-centred, Bible-believing church where people of different ages, backgrounds and nationalities meet together to worship and serve God.

When and Where We Meet

Our Sunday morning service is at:

Time: 10:30am
Venue: Cambusbarron Community Centre

You do not need to book, and you do not need to let us know in advance. Just come along. Someone will be there to welcome you and help you find your way in.

What Happens in a Service?

Our Sunday service is a time to worship God together, hear from the Bible, pray, and encourage one another.

A normal service will usually include singing, Bible readings, prayer and a sermon where a passage from the Bible is explained and applied to everyday life.

You will not be put on the spot or asked to do anything you are uncomfortable with. You are welcome simply to come, listen and take things at your own pace.

What Should I Wear?

There is no dress code. Some people dress smartly, others come more casually. Please come in whatever you feel comfortable wearing.

Do I Need to Know Anything Before I Come?

No. You do not need to know the songs, understand church traditions, or have been to a service before.

If anything is unfamiliar, that is completely fine. We are glad to welcome people who are exploring Christianity, returning to church, or simply curious about faith.

Our services usually last no longer than 1 hour with refreshments afterwards.

Children and Young People

Children and young people are very welcome at Stirling Free Church.

During term time, crèche, Kids Church and Bible Class are available for those who would like to attend. If you are visiting with children, someone will be happy to explain what is available and where to go.

Students, Visitors and Newcomers

Stirling is home to people from many places, including students and international visitors. We are glad to welcome people from different nations, backgrounds and stages of life.

Whether you are in Stirling for a short time or looking for a church family, we would love to meet you.

After the Service

After the service, there is usually tea/coffee and time to chat and get to know people. Please do stay if you can.

We know it can feel daunting to walk into a new place, so our hope is that you will find a warm welcome and a friendly church family.
